Suggested Text from Delegation
of Uganda regarding public health in Article 21:
3. State Parties shall ensure that persons with disabilities are included in
all public health outreach efforts intended to ensure good health for everyone,
recognizing that as members of the general population, individuals with disability
are equally entitled to equal and adequate assessment of health needs, the development
of policies aimed at controlling priority health problems, and the assurance
that services capable of realizing policy goals do not discriminate on the basis
of disability.
