卢旺达的憧憬

Thacien Kalinda

Thacien Kalinda参加了1994年种族灭绝暴行。他自己招认是杀害了Xaverian Niragire儿子的几名凶手之一。他当年仅19岁。他在自供以前，从未向任何人透露过他杀害了Xaverina Niragire的儿子。在种族灭绝暴行结束时，他涉嫌另一椿谋杀而被逮捕。经审讯后，判无罪，获得释放。尽管他从未被定罪，他一直因杀害Xaverina的儿子深感内疚。

　　获释后，他主动向Xaverina承认杀害了她的儿子，并且请求她的宽恕。Xaverina原谅了他，两人从此以后成为挚交。Thacien现将被控谋杀罪。他的照片反映了Xaverina如何让他不再受内疚煎熬以及他能够帮助社区的其他人。出现在他一些照片中的那个湖就是Xaverina在家人遇害后曾投的湖。

After her family members were killed, Xaverina came to this lake and tried to drown herself. She asked the Lord that if he wanted her to live then he needed to help her get back to shore and miraculously she did. Thacien remembered her story and tried to illustrate it in this photograph.
