Summary

Mobilizing finance is one side of the development coin. Effective, efficient and accountable use of those funds is the other.

This event seeks to emphasize the importance of improving public expenditure efficiency, effectiveness and accountability as a means to improve policy implementation and facilitate achievement of SDGs. Improving public sector efficiency by 10 percent could release $250 billions for the development challenge.

Leading practitioners on public financial management reform from government and international organizations will provide insights on how to assess PFM performance, how to achieve improvements and monitor progress towards desired goals.
