2009 NATIONAL VOLUNTARY PRESENTATIONS (NVP)
The AMR session includes National Voluntary Presentations on countries' progress in implementing internationally agreed development goals, including the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). The presenting countries for 2009 were Bolivia, China, Jamaica, Japan, Mali, Sri Lanka and Sudan.
UNDESA has assisted several countries in organizing national workshops to strengthen capacity for assessing implementation of national development strategies. NVP workshops were held in Sri Lanka on 24 February, China on 26 February, Bolivia on 30-31 March, and Jamaica on 1 April.
