Gender and Public Finance – Turning Rhetoric into Reality

  • Date: 14 July 2015, 3:30pm - 6:00pm
  • Location: Elilly Board Room

Organised by

Crown Agents

Summary

Join Crown Agents at an expert high level panel discussion with donors and governments  on how best to use scarce financial resources to meet the gender goals in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). How does gender audit improve Public Financial Management (PFM) systems? What practical steps can be taken to ensure that development programmes have measurable impact on women, on girls and on boys? We will identify successful examples of public policy design and implementation and suggest how they can be replicated more widely. We will discuss how tools such as gender audit can ensure that objectives of greater equality, better opportunities, better access to resources and assets are achieved.
