How National Development Cooperation Policies contribute to more effective development cooperation

Objective:
The side event provides space for stakeholders to discuss the preliminary findings of the DCF Survey on state of play in effectiveness of international development cooperation, with emphasis on the use of National Development Cooperation Policies (NDCPs):
• Concrete actions to adapt NDCPs to the 2030 Agenda
• Best practice in improving the oversight role of diverse actors: parliamentarians / local government / civil society organisations
• South-South development cooperation in NDCPs
• NDCPs as a framework for private sector engagement for sustainable development
Format
Discussions will include a briefing segment with a presentation of key preliminary findings from the study and inputs from government and other stakeholder perspectives. This will be followed by interactive discussion among participants.
