Taking stock on investment on children: towards implementation of the Addis Ababa Action Agenda

The Addis Ababa Action Agenda recognizes that investing in children and youth is critical to achieving inclusive, equitable and sustainable development. Consequently, it reaffirmed the vital importance of promoting and protecting children’s rights.
In this context, Child Fund Alliance, Save the Children, SOS Children’s Villages, and World Vision, with the support of the Office of the Special Representative of the UN Secretary General on Violence Against Children, UNICEF and under auspice of the Global Partnership to End Violence against Children have commissioned a study to focus on ODA Allocations to Ending Violence Against Children.
The purpose of a side event in the margins of the ECOSOC Forum on Financing for Development brings the results of the study related to Costing global funding streams into preventing violence against children.
