SECURITY COUNCIL EXTENDS MISSION IN HAITI UNTIL 30 JUNE

19960229

The Security Council this evening extended the mandate of the United Nations Mission in Haiti (UNMIH) for a final period of four months until 30 June, while decreasing the mission's troop level to no more than 1,200 and its civilian police personnel to no more than 300.

NEW CHAIRMEN OF UNITED NATIONS SECURITY BODIES IN MARCH

19960229 In accordance with the principle of alphabetical rotation, the following new Chairmen of United Nations security bodies will take office on 1 March:
