At the 37th meeting on 14 November 2025, the Sixth Committee decided to recommend the General Assembly to defer a decision on the request for observer status for the Cooperation Council of Turkic-speaking States in the General Assembly to its eighty-first session. The Committee thus concluded its consideration of agenda item 161.
