SIDS Day
As part of its review cycle, the CSD gave consideration to the implementation of the BPoA and the MSI in respect of this cycle's thematic issues of land, agriculture, rural development, drought, desertification and Africa.
An Agro-Industry Exhibition was organized and launched in an effort to demonstrate the rich potential and the range of products from agriculture and rural enterprise in SIDS.
The SIDS Day also featured a number of partnership and side-events.

MSI+5 High-level review
Member States undertook a 5-year review of the Mauritius Strategy for the Implementation of the Barbados Plan of Action for the Sustainable Development of Small Island States on 24-25 September 2010 during the 65th Session of the General Assembly. A political declaration, A/RES/65/2 [Arabic] [Chinese] [English] [French] [Russian] [Spanish], was adopted by the member States at the conclusion of the review. MSI+5 Review Process
Three regional meetings (Pacific, AIMS and Caribbean) were held in preparation for the MSI+5 two-day high-level review, followed by an inter-regional meeting in New York and the prep com during SIDS Day of CSD-18.
