About the event
Webinar #1 Payment for Ecosystem Services
This webinar will present a global synthesis on Payment for Ecosystem Services (PES) for forests, highlighting country experiences, good practices, and implementation challenges. It will provide insights into the conditions and modalities necessary for effective PES implementation, with a focus on how the approach can be replicated in other contexts and how site-level projects can be scaled up to national-level schemes.
The session, along with future webinars in the series, aims to promote the use of economic incentives and support resource mobilization to accelerate the implementation of the United Nations Strategic Plan for Forests (UNSPF) and the achievement of the Global Forest Goals (GFGs).
