Collaborative Partnership on Forests Workplan
Advancing Global Forest Goals through collaboration and action
The Collaborative Partnership on Forests (CPF) plays a vital role in supporting international efforts to conserve, sustainably manage, and restore the world’s forests. Building on over two decades of collaboration, the CPF Workplan for 2025–2028 sets out a renewed vision for collective action to advance the Global Forest Goals (GFGs) of the United Nations Strategic Plan for Forests 2017–2030 and contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
This new Workplan reflects the CPF’s strategic approach to strengthening its operations, including by:
- Sharpening its focus based on its core functions and added value
- Broadening the CPF’s resource base
- Stimulating collaborative ways of working and strengthening relationships
- Strengthening the commitment of members and the accountability of the CPF
Structured around the CPF’s priority areas, the Workplan identifies key joint initiatives, activities, and expected outcomes designed to maximize the Partnership’s collective impact. It also serves as a living document, with annual reviews to ensure responsiveness to emerging global challenges and opportunities.
