Argentina, subject to the availability of its experts, is willing to consider assistance in response to specific requests from States on the legal and regulatory infrastructure for the implementation of Resolution 1540 (2004), on nuclear and chemical areas.
Chemical
Argentina could offer assistance in the development and implementation of legislation and procedures related to Article VI (declarations of chemical industries and their verification) and VII (adoption of legislation) of the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC). Argentina could share its experience on cross-check procedures between transfer declarations (Article VI) and Customs databases.
Nuclear
Argentina could offer assistance in the development and/or improvement of regulatory infrastructure; accounting for and control of nuclear material; procedures for the import and export of nuclear and radioactive material and of material or equipment of nuclear interest. Argentina could also provide education and training on nuclear and radiation safety, physical protection and nuclear-security, safeguards and nonproliferation.
