World Water Week 2013 is held, from 1 to 6 September 2013, during the “International Year of Water Cooperation” under the theme “Water Cooperation – Building Partnerships”. In this endeavor we need to learn from each other and engage with actors who can help us understand and explore the very essence of cooperation. How can more effective cooperation enable us to reach future-oriented decisions and force implementation help us build a better future, and how do the benefits of cooperation tally with its costs? Finally, how can we best build partnerships among actors to achieve common goals?
Karin Lexén, the Director of World Water Week & Prizes gave a brief presentation with information on the upcoming week and its theme and engaged with the side event participants to learn about ideas and suggestions to make the week creative and result oriented.
